We did beautiful morning shoot at Kensington Metropark in South Lyon.  I met Katie a few months back and she decided it was high time her family have a portrait session done.  I think it was a wise idea indeed!  I had a great time getting to know them and getting to see their sweet interactions as a family.

This girl is the greatest.  Seriously the best thing ever.  I'm so lucky to have met her a few years ago through a photography blog.  I never knew she would eventually become my soul sister!  So while I was in Utah over the summer we were able to do a fabulous session out at the Salt Flats…which is one of my favorite locations IN THE WORLD!  It was so much fun.  The mosquito's were totally lame, but Candi and her family, totally awesome. :)

Sweet Isla -- Metro Detroit Child Photographer.

My sweet little niece…isn't she a peach!  I had the privilege of capturing a few quick shots of this sweetie pie while visiting home.  Looking at these images today is making me very homesick for my family and the great state of Utah!

Hart Family - Metro Detroit Family Photographer.

Oh man!  I had a great time hanging out with the Hart family while I was back in Utah.  The setting was gorgeous and the company-fabulous!

I got to hang out with this lovely family again.  We did a session together last fall, which you can check out here.  We had a ball as usual.  These kids are so much fun, not to mention polite and well-mannered.  Little Willa did manage to find my candy stash in the old camera bag…sweetest little stinker you ever did see!

Applonie Family- Metro Detroit Family Photographer.

I love families.  Have I said that?  Family photography is the best.  I love being able to watch these sweet children and families interact together.  You can't go home grumpy after watching parents love on their littles, am I right?  This family is pretty freaking cool, too.  We've know each other since the wee days of medical school.  I got to photography their adopted daughter, Paige as a newborn and also their sweet little miracle baby, Hayden.  Now look at these girls!!  All grown up!
